In the past several weeks, you have learned a great deal about the loan opportunities that are available through the Small Business Administration. You have also learned about the core mission of the Small Business Administration, the benefits associated with obtaining a SBA loan for your business, the importance of being called a “gazelle” by the administration, the SCORE system, and the Women Business Center (WBC) program. This week, as we continue this popular series, we will be providing you with information on the SBA Learning Center, as well as the SBA Cluster Initiative.

The SBA Learning Center
If you have an interest in obtaining a SBA Loan, it may be beneficial to take advantage of the Learning Platform created by the Small Business Administration. This is an online or “virtual” campus that includes a multitude of free classes, a variety of workshops, various types of podcasts, and a variety of other free learning tools. There are many wonderful features associated with this learning center. These include, but, are not at all limited to the following:

  • You may connect to the learning center from any location and at any time – all you need is a device that has internet access.
  • There are, approximately, 59 different courses and workshops that you may indulge in for free!
  • There are many different types of worksheets, checklists, and other types of documents that will allow you to successfully create a business plan.
  • A few of the top courses include Buying a Business, How to Write a Business Plan, Finding and Attracting Investors, and Marketing 101: A Guide to Winning Customers.

The SBA Cluster Initiative
When starting a business, it is imperative that you make an effort to effectively connect to certain people and types of people in order to drive success in your industry. Regional-based clusters act as a type of networking hub that will help you connect to others in your industry. These networking hubs will help you to learn about how to become familiar with your customers and how to effectively develop your products in the most efficient manner possible. By connecting with the information that is provided by the SBA Cluster Initiative, you can take your business to the highest level possible. Not only does the Initiative aid in cultivating relationships, but, it also aids in connecting with investors and others that may prove to be beneficial to the overall success of your business.

If you are in search of a SBA Loan, we are here to help you; however, we believe that it is imperative that we equip you with the resources that are necessary to guarantee your overall success. In this installment of our multi-part series SBA Loans, you have learned about the Learning Center of the Small Business Administration as well as the SBA Cluster Initiative.
